Jatiluwih Rice Terrace is one of the tourist attractions with a panoramic view of terraced rice fields, cool mountain air, and a traditional irrigation system (Subak). In the Jatiluwih tourist attraction area, visitors can see a stretch of rice fields that are safe and green that spoil the eyes. Seen from a distance, behind the green rice fields there is a towering Mount Batukaru, making the panorama more cheerful and shiny. In addition, the trees that grow on the edge of the rice fields add to the beauty of the terrace, so that it becomes an attraction for tourists to visit this place.

Jatiluwih Rice Terrace has a unique geographical and cultural identity hidden on the slopes of Mount Batukaru and is located at an altitude of approximately 700 m above sea level, which has a view of the expanse of green rice fields and cool mountain air. In June 2012 the Jatiluwih tourist attraction received international recognition, when its traditional rice field irrigation system, Subak, was recognized by UNESCO as one of the World Cultural Heritage. Subak is a traditional Balinese irrigation system that regulates the distribution of water in a fair and sustainable manner. Historically, the Subak system is rooted in the teachings of Tri Hita Karana in Hinduism which reflects the balance and harmony between humans, nature and spirituality. Built since the 11th century, Subak is not only an irrigation system but also a philosophy of life that emphasizes harmony and sustainability. In addition to enjoying the scenery that pampers the eyes, tourists will better understand how important the existence of this tradition is in Bali.

The Jatiluwih Rice Terrace tourist attraction is located in Penebel District, Tabanan-Bali Regency, where the location is quite far from the center of Denpasar City, about 55 km. In addition to rice fields, Jatiluwih is also surrounded by protected forests rich in flora and fauna, and visitors who come to Jatiluwih can enjoy trekking or cycling along charming trails while enjoying beautiful natural scenery.
