Banjar Hot Spring are centuries-old springs have been upgraded with modern facilities over time. They have become favorite retreat and recreation site among locals and international visitors. Locally known as Air Panas Banjar, the hot spring are located approximately 5 kilometers m Southwest from the famous Lovina coast in North Bali. There share same district as Brahma Vihara Arama Buddhist monastery, which is located only 1,5 kilometers m to the east.

Facilities at Banjar Hot Water Spring

Banjar Hot Spring provide a recreational and therapeutic provide due to the water’s sulfur content. This can be seen from the yellowish-red sedimentation at several points of the spouts and pool walls. The short pathway and bridge after the gate are by a small river, leading you to a further flight of steps. From here, the first smaller pools can easily be seen, where spouts gush on to visitors enjoying the soothing splashes. The hot water spring complex comprises 4 main pool sections, with the largest and central bathing pool featuring a restaurant perched high above the northern side. Beside the restaurant are restrooms, lockers and changing rooms.

The bathing pools are constructed around the hot water spring source and feature a tired structure. The first level feature 8 dragon spouts with a smaller pool also adjoining this section. The large size of the central bathing pools enables families to join on the soothing dip. Down on the second level the main central pool. The complex is known to have been further developed during the Javanese occupation of Indonesia during World War II. At the time, the waters of the hot springs were known to have cured various skin problems as well as rheumatic ailments.
